Ann Anthony "I had read a couple of reviews that almost made me cancel my booking. I am so glad I didn'T. The staff at reception were so polite, the room and linen were so clean, bed very comfortable. It was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. All this for such an affordable price. Not forgetting , perfect location! I don't understand how anyone would be dissatisfied. We personally would recommend this place to our friends and relatives"

Vikasjaw "The Atlantis Hotel is a well located hotel in the heart of Melbourne. Well connected with many public transport options nearby. We got a deal with breakfast included - the breakfast was basic but good with egg, baked beans, breads cereals, juices, yoghurts and tea/coffee. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna. The room and bathroom were nice and spacious but do not pay extra for a room with a view. It was nice but not worth the money. The staff was nice and helped us out with many our sightseeing tours and general city orientation. "

Joseph "I stayed during the Australian Open. I found the room modern, clean and comfortable. There was a good TV, comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels. Location was very close to the main train station as well as trams. The pool was clean. We were allowed a late check out which was very appreciated. There was a free daily newspaper, but not one which had the complete schedule of tennis for the day. The room was cool and quiet. My only minor quibbles were that the safe wasn't open (although the staff offered to open it), the billing of account on the TV was wrong, the window blind was hard to get up, no free internet, staff didn't have much advice on late night dining. It would also have been nice if the next day's draw for the tennis was provided in the morning or a newspaper which had the schedule. The fridge also wasn't very cold. These are just minor matters and I would have no hesitation returning to the hotel or recommending it to others. "

asimplejazzlover "We stayed at Best Western Melbourne for 3 nights and found that location is pretty good for those catching up by skybus to the city. It is located conveniently across Southern Cross station on Spencer Street. Look out for Cole's and it is just across. I wouldn't say this is centrally located and rather in a quiet area of Melbourne. It is blocks away from the city centre. However you can always catch the free city circle tram to move around the city. "

lyn "In Melbourne for the tennis. Got a great deal for the week with an early bird special. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and sauna were very good. Great location close to free City tram stop. Well serviced by other trams well into the evening. Coles located across road - very handy and open until midnight. Staff very pleasant. No problem to get a late checkout. Newspaper every day. On Thursday did give order of play at tennis which would have been usuful for other days. Only small niggles. No free internet time. Fridge not cold enough. Housekeeping a bit hit and miss with provision of towels, flannels etc. Had to ask at desk as often short - but staff most obliging. Would certainly stay again. "

From the moment I arrived everything went to a tea, but what surprised me the most is, for the value of the room, just how close it was to everything. The heart of the city was only a 5-minute walk and with everything that the hotel offered in terms of facilities, like the pool area, gymnasium and business centre. I was so impressed that I re-arranged travel plans to come back a week later before I flew out. The staff are amazing, the hotel is sensational, and I cannot recommend it enough. "

Samuel Vernon "The location more than any other thing makes Atlantis Hotel an ideal place to stay in Melbourne. Being so close to the CBD, Spencer St Station etc makes you start off your day on a great note. Rooms were an excellent size with a really comfortable bed and the staff were always very nice. Had 5 days here in January, it was reasonably priced... An added bonus was the gymnasium and business center which was always accessible."
