Telephone Directory (from in-room telephone)

Your in-room telephone has several pre-set buttons to make calling easier. Simply pick up the handset and press the button corresponding to the service you require.

If you wish to dial out of the hotel. Dial “0” first for an outside line. Note external calls will incur a small fee.

To call another room directly, simply lift the handset and dial the room number.

If you dial the emergency number, you may need to know the address of the hotel which is 300 Spencer Street, Melbourne. If possible
notify Reception to let them know an emergency service is en-route. If you wish to order a taxi, you will need to advise them of the address of the hotel (300 Spencer Street) and your room number.

Adaptors and Chargers

Power adaptors for appliances with UK/European/US and Japanese style plugs can be purchased from the Shopping Centre over the road – for directions see reception.

Mobile/cell phone chargers may be available at reception depending on the phone or may be able to be purchased at the Shopping Centre over the road.

NOTE: Adaptors do not transform the Voltage. Ensure your appliance can switch to 240/220V before attempting use.

Airconditioning and Heating

Your room has an individual climate control system. The control panel is located on the wall of the main room in each suite.

Blankets and Pillows

Extra pillows are located in the wardrobe. For additional blankets please contact Housekeeping.

Breakfast

An all you can eat continental buffet breakfast is available on the ground floor of the hotel between 6:30am and 10am Monday to Friday and 7:00am to 10:30am Saturday and Sunday.

The cost is $15 per adult and $10 per child.

Business Services & Wireless Internet

FREE Wireless internet access is available in your room and in reception. Please turn on your WIFI and select ATLANTIS for free access.

Facsimile (FAX) and Photocopying services are available at reception & the Business Centre is located on Level 3.

Carparking

Carparking is available for $25 (effective 1 Mar 2022) per vehicle per night. It is provided on a first come first serve basis and is not guaranteed.

You can come and go as many times as you like for this price and you may be able to leave your car after check out when available.

All cars parked in our car park will need to display a parking permit which will be provided by reception.

Check Out Time

Please check out of your room by 10am on the day of your departure.

Should you check out after this time, you may incur a charge. Please contact reception if you wish to make arrangements for this.

Coffee, Tea, Sugar and Milk

Located in the cupboard as you enter the room you will find a kettle, cups, coffee, tea, sugar and milk which will be replenished daily by housekeeping. Should you require extra supplies please contact Housekeeping.

Dry Cleaning and Laundry

See reception for directions to the local laundromats which are located within walking distance of the hotel.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Please place your “Do Not Disturb” sign outside your door to ensure that you are given privacy. If you have had your DND sign up during the morning hours but would still like your room serviced please notify housekeeping at your earliest convenience, as they are not a 24hour service.

Eating Out and Eating In

We are happy for you to order using all online apps however we request that you meet the delivery driver at the front of the hotel – reception can’t accept any food deliveries on your behalf.

Should you wish to go out for a meal please see reception who would be more than happy to make recommendations.

Should you require additional plates or cutlery see reception.

Please contact Reception if there is any emergency or call 000.

In the event of a Fire Alarm, refer to the evacuation instructions located at the Lift Lobby or Click below to familiarise yourself with them.

Do not touch or tamper with your smoke alarm/smoke detector if it activates as reception will be notified and will arrange for a staff member to attend.

Food and Drink

Soft-drinks, bottled water and snacks are available in the lobby of the hotel.

Coles supermarket is located on Spencer Street approximately 150m from the hotel.

Gymnasium

The hotel has a fully equipped gymnasium open from 6am to 9pm every day and is located on the pool level of the South building.

Hairdryer

There is a hair dryer located in the cupboard next to the fridge if you can’t locate it please contact reception.

Housekeeping

For any special needs or additional room supplies please contact Housekeeping on the telephone or reception.

If you have had your DND sign up during the morning hours but would still like your room serviced please notify housekeeping at your earliest convenience, as they are not a 24hour service.

Ice Machines

You can fill the ice bucket in your cupboard with ice from machines located on levels 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 in tower 2. Ice can be collected at reception for those staying in tower 1.

Ironing

There is an iron located in the cupboard, and an ironing board can be found in the wardrobe.

Lost and Found

Reception will offer assistance in tracing any lost property. Please note that under the Innkeepers Act (1980) the hotel has limited liability for misplaced items.

Due to Occupational Health and Safety requirements, some items will be disposed of when the room is cleaned after check-out and will not be stored by the hotel.

Luggage Assistance and Storage

Arrangements can be made through Reception for the handling of luggage, packages and other articles.

We can also store your luggage at Reception on the day of your departure however we can’t store luggage overnight.

Pool

There is a heated pool in the basement of the South building of the hotel that operates from 6am to 9pm every day.

Please take a towel with you, and ensure persons under the age of 18 are under adult supervision. Extra towels can be collected at reception.

For the safety and comfort of others, please observe the pool rules and be sure to dry yourself prior to leaving the pool area

Power

There are two different types of power point in your hotel room. The standard Australian power point operates at a voltage of 240VAC on a
50 Hertz cycle. There is an outlet for 110V electric shavers in the bathroom. Adaptors are available by request from Reception.

Reception

Reception is open 24 hours a day and our friendly team can be contacted in person or via the relevant button on your room phone.

Safety Deposit

Each room is equipped with a safe. Please use this for storage of any valuables noting that the hotel accepts no responsibility for items left in the safe.

Sauna

The sauna is located on the pool level of the South building and is open between 6am and 9pm every day.

Please observe all rules regarding use of the sauna. Extra towels are provided at reception.

Smoking

The hotel is completely non-smoking in all areas.

Smoking in the rooms or staircases may trigger the hotel fire alarm which may result in significant financial penalties.

Tampering with fire safety equipment will result in immediate eviction from the hotel.

Television

Your TV will show the major free to air Australian networks.

Wake up / Alarm calls

Wake up calls can be programmed via your phone. Lift the handset then press the ʻWake Up Callʼ button and enter the time with 4 digits (e.g. for 8:30 am enter ʻ0ʼ ʻ8ʼ ʻ3ʼ ʻ0ʼ and for 10pm enter ʻ2ʼ ʻ2ʼ ʻ0ʼ ʻ0ʼ) then press the ʻ#ʼ key and wait for the confirmation beep.

You can also set the alarm on the Radio Alarm Clock found in your room.

Water

Tap water in Melbourne is potable (drinkable). It is also consistently ranked the best tap water source of any major city in Australia. Drinking glasses can be in the fridge.

WiFi

FREE Wireless internet access is available in your room and in reception. Please turn on your WiFi and select ATLANTIS for free access.

 


 

ATLANTIS HOTEL – House Rules

As an accommodation provider, we aim to help all our guests enjoy our facilities.

As such, we would request that your visitors depart the hotel by midnight, and only the registered guest/s be in the hotel room after this time.

Should the need arise, hotel staff will evict any guests that are causing disruption or pose a danger to other guests, staff or residents. This includes but is not limited to physical or verbal abuse, threats, damage to property, smoking in the rooms and excessive noise.

Anyone evicted from the property will forfeit any monies paid, may be liable for damages, will incur a life-time ban from the hotel, and the police notified.

Hotel staff will enforce this policy and there may be no warning prior to action being taken.
